Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect(s) who removed a wooden cut-out from a nativity scene outside of a Whitby church.

In the early morning hours of Sunday, December 12, 2010, suspect(s) attended the property of Brooklin United Church on Cassels Road East in Brooklin (north Whitby) and removed a 6’ x 3’ plywood cutout of one of the Three Wise Men from the nativity scene. The wood section was supported by a metal bar.

No suspect descriptions are available at this time. The cut-out had been part of the nativity scene for many years and church officials would like it returned.
