Eleven guns stolen from Oshawa residence

Eleven guns, properly registered and stored in an Oshawa residence, were stolen sometime overnight.

On Wednesday December 15, 2010, at approximately 8:00 a.m. a homeowner returned to his residence on Windsor Street to discover property stolen, including eight rifles, three handguns, ammunition, and jewelry. The homeowner left his residence in the late afternoon of December 14 and returned to discover a rear window removed to gain access to his home. Once inside, suspect(s) removed a gun locker containing the eleven guns and ammunition and fled without detection.

The investigation is ongoing. The stolen guns include: US Rifle M1 semi automatic rifle; Lee Enfield 5Mark1 rifle; Mauser 1948 Yugoslavian short rifle; Norinco rifle; CZ 75 handgun; Norinco 84S semi automatic rifle; Colt AR15A2 semi automatic rifle; Norinco MP58 semi automatic handgun; Lee Enfield 4Mark2 rifle; CZ 858 Tactical 2 semi automatic rifle; Norico M93 semi automatic handgun.

Investigators are appealing to the public for information surrounding any suspicious person(s) or vehicles in the vicinity of Windsor Street between Wilson Road and Baldwin Street between 4 p.m. on Tuesday December 14th and 8 a.m. on Wednesday December 15th.
