On the morning of December 17, 2010, members of the Caraquet RCMP, in cooperation with members of the District 8 Street Crime Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in Inkerman, N.B. During the search, members seized a large quantity of marijuana valued in the thousands of dollars. The drugs were to be distributed and sold in the Acadian Peninsula.
A 49-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both of whom lived in the residence that was searched, were arrested. They will appear in Provincial Court in Caraquet at a later date.
The investigation is ongoing.
