Volunteer members of the Canadian Amphibious Search Team (C.A.S.T.) and Manitoba Search and Rescue conducted two days of diving on December 11th and 12th and met with negative results.
The Winnipeg Police Service Underwater Search and Recovery Unit have re-evaluated diving conditions, which are continuing to improve. The Unit plans to resume diving operations early in the New Year, possibly as early as January 2nd. The Canadian Amphibious Search Team will also be conducting dive operations under the direction of the Winnipeg Police Service Dive Unit.
The dive operation will continue for as long as conditions permit. We are committed to this action to help Nathaniel’s family find closure in this tragedy police said.
