Drunken young man Brian Turner kills a woman and ruins his life in Brampton

Officers from the Major Collision Bureau are appealing for witnesses to come forward, as they investigate the circumstances surrounding a fatal motor vehicle collision that has claimed the life of a Brampton woman.

On Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at approximately 4:47 a.m., two vehicles collided in the intersection of Bramalea Road and Central Park Drive. The vehicles are described as a Ford Focus and a Honda Civic.

The passenger of the Honda Civic, a 41 year-old female from Brampton, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 45 year-old male from Brampton, was transported by air ambulance to a Toronto Trauma Centre, where he remains in serious condition.

The passenger of the Ford Focus, an 18 year-old female from Brampton, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a Toronto Trauma Centre.

The driver of the Ford Focus was arrested for a series of Impaired Driving related offences. He sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision, was treated at a local hospital and released into police custody.

Brian TURNER, an 18 year-old resident of Brampton, made a brief court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, where he was remanded into custody.

At the request of the family, the names of the victim’s will not be released.

  2. Many 18 year olds think they are invincable, many do things without thinking of concequences, they just do not always get caught. Yes, what has happened is horrible for all involved, so many families hurt including Brian’s. Brian has to live the rest of his life knowing what he dcomment_ID, that is punishment in itself. I do not believe jailing him for life is the answer. Yes, there are always consequences to our actions, let this be a lesson to all young and old alike.

  4. A “great guy” doesn’t make a selfish decision at the cost of another person’s life. Just because you know someone personally doesn’t mean the rules of common sense and morality don’t apply to them. I knew the woman who was killed. SHE was a great mother.

  6. what do you mean haters you jack ass. a family is destroyed because of his actions. and hes going through alot? i think the family is going through alot more. what ever time he serves in jail is to little. and people keep saying “he just screwed up” if he hit a tree then i would say he just screwed up. but getting into a car while drunk and taking some ones life and hurting a family is beyond a screw up. the fact of the matter is this all could have been avocomment_IDed.
