Four Toronto men arrested for Christmas eve shooting

On Friday, December 24, 2010, at 11:40 p.m., police received a call for the sound of gunshots in the Jane Street/Queens Drive area.

It is alleged that:

– several gunshots were heard in the area,
– officers attended and located four men,
– a firearm was recovered,
– spent shell casings were also located.

Charged are:

1- Mohamed Mohamud, 21, of Toronto

He is charged with:

1) Careless use of a firearm,
2) Careless storage of ammunition,
3) Carry concealed weapon,
4) Unauthorized possession of a firearm,
5) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized,
6) Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition,
7) Weapons Dangerous,
8) Careless storage of ammunition,
9) Discharge firearm endanger life,
10) two counts of Possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order,
11) two counts of Possession of ammunition contrary to prohibition order,
12) Possession of marijuana.

2- Brendan Clayton, 23, of Toronto

He is charged with:

1) Careless use of a firearm,
2) Careless storage of ammunition,
3) Carry concealed weapon,
4) Unauthorized possession of a firearm,
5) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized,
6) Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition,
7) Weapons Dangerous,
8) Careless storage of ammunition,
9) Discharge firearm endanger life.

3- Henry Asiamah, 20, of Toronto

He is charged with:

1) Careless use of a firearm,
2) Careless storage of ammunition,
3) Carry concealed weapon,
4) Unauthorized possession of a firearm,
5) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized,
6) Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition,
7) Weapons Dangerous,
8) Careless storage of ammunition,
9) Discharge firearm endanger life,
10) Possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order,
11) Possession of ammunition contrary to prohibition order.

4- Mukhtar Mohamed, 23, of Toronto

He is charged with:

1) Careless use of a firearm,
2) Careless storage of ammunition,
3) Carry concealed weapon,
4) Unauthorized possession of a firearm,
5) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized,
6) Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition,
7) Weapons Dangerous,
8) Careless storage of ammunition,
9) Discharge firearm endanger life.

They were scheduled to appear in court on Saturday, December 25, 2010, at 10 a.m., at Old City Hall, room 101.
