At about 3:30 pm, Jan. 1st, 2011, a female called police after fleeing an apartment, stating she was threatened by her Son with a large knife or sword. Police contained the apartment and attempted to negotiate with the suspect to surrender.
After a few hours, Tactical Team and Negotiators were called in and again attempted to persuade the suspect to surrender. At about 9:15 pm, Tactical Options were used to successfully resolve this incident. The 35 year old suspect surrendered to Police and a sword was recovered in the apartment.
Charges are pending as police continue to investigate. No injuries were reported.
