It is alleged that:

– on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at 6:05 p.m., a man entered the Bank of Montreal 382 Yonge Street

– a man approached a bank teller

– he presented a note indicating he was armed and made a demand for money

– the bank teller complied and the man fled the scene

It is further alleged that:

– on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at 10:15 a.m., a man entered the Scotia Bank, 332 Bloor Street West

– a man approached a bank teller

– he presented a note indicating he was armed and made a demand for money

– the bank teller complied and the man fled the scene

It is further alleged that:

– on Friday, July 24, 2015, at 11:25 a.m., a man entered the Scotia Bank, 2553 Danforth Avenue

– a man approached a bank teller

– he presented a note indicating he was armed and made a demand for money

– the bank teller complied and the man fled the scene

It is further alleged that:

– on Friday, July 24, 2015, at 12 p.m., a man entered the CIBC, 1000 Gerrard Street East

– a man approached a bank teller

– he presented a note indicating he was armed and made a demand for money

– the bank teller complied and the man fled the scene

It is further alleged that:

– on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at 12 p.m., a man entered the CIBC, 1164 St Clair Avenue West

– a man approached a bank teller

– he presented a note indicating he was armed and made a demand for money

– the bank teller complied and the man fled the scene

It is further alleged that:

– on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at 9:45 a.m., a man entered the Royal Bank, 155 Wellington Street West

– a man approached a bank teller

– he presented a note indicating he was armed and made a demand for money

– the bank teller complied and the man fled the scene

It is further alleged that:

– on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at 1:45 p.m., a man entered the TD Bank, 2440 Bloor Street West

– a man approached a bank teller

– indicating he was armed and made a demand for money

– he obtained a quantity of money before fleeing to the subway system

– Toronto Police Service Transit Officers observed the man on a subway train passing through Bay station

– the officers quickly shut down the power on the system

On Wednesday, July 29, 2015, the man was arrested by the Transit Officers and subsequently investigated by Hold Up.

Ivan McManus, 37, no fixed address, was charged with:

1) seven counts of Robbery

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Thursday, July 30, 2015, 10 a.m., room 101.
