House party leads to stabbing in Regina

Two people: a 19 year-old Regina female and a 21 year-old Lloydminster male, have been charged in connection with a stabbing incident that sent a 21 year-old Regina man to hospital yesterday.

On Monday, January 3, 2011, at approximately 5:00 p.m., police were dispatched to the 300 block of Lorne Street after a caller requested help for a male victim, who had apparently been stabbed. Police and EMS arrived and located a 21 year-old Regina male, who was taken to hospital with injuries described as non life-threatening. Two people were taken into custody nearby; all three (victim and suspects) were intoxicated. Preliminary investigation indicates the victim and the two accused were partying at a house in the 300 block of Lorne Street when an altercation broke out. It is alleged the 19 year-old female and a 21 year-old male, stabbed the 21 year-old male victim.

Charged in this incident are: 19 year-old Jocelyn Rae DUKE, DOB: 1991-01-28, of Regina and 21 year-old Garrett Christophe HUNTER, DOB: 1989-03-30, of Lloydminster. DUKE is charged with Assault With a Weapon [267(a) CC] and Breach of Undertaking [145(3) CC]. DUKE made her first court appearance in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. today: January 4, 2011. HUNTER is also charged with Assault With a Weapon [267(a) CC] and a Breach of Probation [733.1(1) CC]. HUNTER made his court appearance in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. today: January 4, 2011.
