The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance identifying a person of interest in an ongoing fire investigation.

On Monday, January 3, 2011, at 4:04 a.m., police responded to a fire call at 335 Yonge Street.

Emergency services attended to find the address fully engulfed in flames.

On Tuesday, January 4, 2011, a Criminal Code search warrant was executed at the address which authorized the Toronto Police Service and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office to enter the building to investigate the cause of the fire.

During the investigation, CCTV cameras recorded a person in the laneway running off of Gould Street. Investigators are releasing video stills from the CCTV and are requesting the public’s assistance identifying the person.
