Officers were kept busy over the weekend dealing with six impaired driving investigations. Of the six investigations, four involved collisions (all minor). Two of the arrested parties refused to provide a breath sample and were subsequently charged with that criminal offence and one driver not only refused the breath demand but prior to getting to the station he allegedly offered the officer money to let him go as if nothing happened.
All drivers arrested were under the age of 50 with the youngest being 21 and three of the six being 30yrs of age or younger.
The message from the London Police Service hasn’t wavered over the years; Don’t drink and drive and stop those people who continue to do so.
