This case involved alleged improper use of a government-issued credit card. It is alleged that the person authorized to make purchases using the credit card worked with an employee of a Regina business, claiming purchases when no product or service of corresponding value was received in exchange. As the result of a lengthy investigation by the Commercial Crimes unit, two individuals have been charged.
Charged in connection with this case are: 25 year-old Tristan Ross IRONSTAR, DOB: 1985-12-09 and 41 year-old Rajesh Singh GUMBER, DOB: 1969-05-29, both of Regina. Each is facing a single charge of Fraud over Five-Thousand Dollars, contrary to section 380(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada. Both will make their first appearances on the charge in Provincial Court on February 9, 2011.
