The Ottawa Police Service Arson Section charged a 19 year old man in relation to an incident that happened on Tuesday morning.
At about 12:05 a.m., a man entered a gas station on Bank Street, brandishing a Molotov cocktail. A customer was able to wrestle the accused from the store and the device did not ignite.
Guillaume BERGERON is charged with one count of Arson disregard life and one count of Possession of incendiary material.
It is believed the motive of the incident was robbery.
BERGERON will appear in show cause court today.
