Investigators are asking for assistance in identifying three male suspects in an Ajax home invasion who were dressed as police officers.

On Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at approximately 3:40 a.m., West Division officers responded to a residence in the Westney Road North/5th Concession Road area of north Ajax regarding a home invasion. Three males, dressed as police officers, had entered the residence at approximately 12:30 a.m. indicating they had a search warrant. The six people inside the house were handcuffed using plastic ties and locked in a basement room. The suspects then ransacked the home while searching for money.

The suspects then left the residence. The victims were eventually able to free themselves and set off the house alarm. There were no reported injuries. Investigators do not believe this was a random act and the investigation is continuing.

The three suspects are described as male, in their mid-twenties to early thirties, with black hair and Eastern European accents. They were all between 5’10” tall to 6’ tall, wearing all black clothing with bullet proof vests on. They arrived in a vehicle that had a red flashing light and a siren.
