Son charged with strangulation murder of his mother, Toronto

On Thursday, January 13, 2011, at 10:32 a.m., police responded to a call for unknown trouble at 360 Ridelle Avenue.

It is alleged that:

– police located a woman with vital signs absent,

– she was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead on Monday, January 17, 2011.

The post-mortem examination revealed the cause of death as strangulation.

The victim was identified as Ilka Dimitrova, 62, of Toronto.

On Thursday, January 13, 2011, Ivo Anguelov 41, son of the victim was charged with:

1) Attempt Murder.

The accused will be charged with Second Degree Murder, on Monday, January 31, 2011.

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue East, on Monday, January 31, 2011, room 301, at 10 a.m.
