Police rescue stranded father and son snowmobilers, Sudbury

At 8:25 P.M this evening the Ontario Provincial Police received a cellular phone call from two stranded snowmobilers on Bear Lake in the west end of the region. Bear Lake is in the Greater Sudbury Police jurisdiction.

Using the coordinates from the cell phone the OPP and Greater Sudbury Police dispatched officers to locate the stranded father and son. At approximately 10:30 P.M. the pair were located in good health by OPP officers dispatched out of Espanola.
