police investigating mysterious fatal shooting at mississauga shisha loungeToronto Police is investigating a mysterious death of a 17-year-old boy after a shooting outside a shisha lounge in Mississauga last night. The shooting was reported at the lounge located near Airport and Derry roads at around 1 a.m.

According to a witness at the scene, he was inside the shisha lounge when some people starting pushing and shoving on a screen displaying surveillance camera footage from outside. At that point, the man said he went outside and discovered the victim’s lifeless body. He explained that “I just went next to him and called 911. There was blood all over him.” Upon the arrival of police, it secured the scene and detained dozens of patrons of the shisha lounge in a number of buses that were brought to the area. The man who reported the incident was also detained since investigators thought the suspect could be among the masses. He stated that “the police started yelling ‘Whoever has a weapon drop it down on the ground now,’” adding that “the suspect I think is on the bus. That is what they are saying.”

Police has still cordoned off the area of the scene but patrons of the shisha lounge were released after being held for up to five hours. One of the patrons held at the station stated that “they took us on the bus, they searched us. We were here all night and weren’t even allowed to use the washroom.” Although paramedics had initially claimed that the victim was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition, police confirmed later that he died a short time later.
