Bank robber Michael Glezakos arrested in Ottawa

The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Section charged a 27 year old man in relation to three recent bank robberies in the Kanata area.

At 1:53 p.m. today, a lone man entered the Scotiabank on March Road and produced a note demanding money. He fled in a vehicle but was found later on foot in the Stittsville area. The bank money was recovered at that time of his arrest.

Police have linked the man to two other bank robberies on the January 24 and 26, 2011 in the Kanata area.

Michael GLEZAKOS, of Ottawa, is charged with three counts of: robbery, uttering threats and breaching his undertaking. He will appear in court on January 29, 2011.
