Two charged in marihuana grow operation, London

On February 1, 2011 at approximately 10:45AM the London Police Service Guns and Drugs Section, with assistance from the RCMP Drug Unit, executed a search warrant at the address of 106 Jennifer Gardens. Police located and arrested two suspects in relation to this address, nearby, in a 2002 Mazda van.

When police entered 106 Jennifer Gardens they located a large commercial marihuana grow operation with a hydro bypass set up. At this grow operation police seized 2,000 marihuana plants, for an estimated potential value of $2,000,000; Also seized was 676 grams of marihuana bud worth approximately $6,760 and grow operation equipment. Police further seized the 2002 Mazda van.

At approximately 1:15 PM police executed a second warrant, in relation to this investigation, on a residence on Trossacks Avenue. At this address police located and seized $3,000 in cash.

Police have charged 31 year old Nhu Hung Nguyen of London with possession of marihuana for the purpose of trafficking, production of marihuana and theft over $5,000.

Police have further charged a 67 year Nhu Kim Nguyen of London with possession of marihuana for the purpose of trafficking, production of marihuana and theft over $5,000.
