Seven people arrested for drugs and firearm offences in Ottawa

On Thursday, February 3, 2011, members of the Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit, Direct Action Response Team and the Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant in the 900 block on St. Laurent Boulevard in Ottawa. The following items were seized:

– 9mm semi-automatic Luger hand gun with loaded magazine
– 8 ounces of crack cocaine (Street value of approximately $40,000.00)
– 1 ounce of cannabis resin(street value of approximately $1000.00)
– 17,000.00 Canadian currency

7 males were arrested and charged for various Criminal Offences.
1) Tremayne CHILCOTT, 21 years of age, Ottawa
2) Tyson BELFORT, 24 years of age, Brampton
3) Aloysius GORDON, 20 years of age, Ottawa
4) Marvin BIENVENUE, 20 years of age, Ottawa
5) McKenny PERRIN, 19 years of age, Ottawa
6) Rami AL-NSEIRI, 21 years of age, Ottawa
7) Casius HENRY, 20 years of age, Ottawa

• Careless Storage of a Firearm – Sec 86(1) C.C.
• Possess Weapons Dangerous – Sec 88(1) C.C.
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm Sec 91(1) C.C
• Possession of Firearm Knowing no Authority – Sec 92(1) C.C
• Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition – Sec 95(1) C.C.
• Possession of a Weapon Obtained by Commission of an Offence Sec 96(1) C.C.
• Possess Firearm contrary to Prohibition Order X 2 – Sec 117.01(1) C.C.
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (crack cocaine) 5(2) C.D.S.A
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (cannabis resin) 5(2) C.D.S.A
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000.00 – Sec 355(a) C.C.
