Expensive diamonds stolen from Erin Mills Town Center

Investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for a theft of valuable diamonds from a Mississauga jewellery store.

On Thursday, February 3, 2011, at approximately 3:19 p.m., the suspect entered a jewellery store located in the Erin Mills Town Center. Once inside, the suspect asked to view specific diamonds. The suspect was handed two diamonds, valued in excess of $45,000.00, to compare. At this time, the suspect grabbed the two diamonds and fled to a waiting vehicle, driven by another male.

The suspect is described as a male, white, 30 years of age, 6’ tall, with a muscular build, short dark hair and braces. He was clean shaven, and wearing dark blue jeans and a black leather jacket. The suspect was also wearing a light brown Fargo-style fur hat. He spoke with a European accent.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be an older model, 4-door automobile, grey or beige in colour, similar to a Toyota Corolla.
