On February 5, 2011 at approximately 2:40 a.m., uniform members, including other emergency personnel responded to the area of the 400 block of Elgin Avenue regarding the sound of shots fired in the area.

Attending members located two males suffering from what appeared to be gun shot wounds. A 19 year old male and 22 year old male were subsequently transported to hospital in critical condition where they have since succumbed to injuries sustained.

At this stage of the investigation, it appears that the victims, including other individuals were evicted from a house party in the 300 block of Ross Avenue. A short time later, and in the area of Ellen Street and Elgin Avenue the victims met up with a lone male who had also been evicted from the party.

It was during this meeting that the lone male suspect produced a firearm and discharged it in the direction of the victims. The suspect fled the area.

No arrest has been made at this time.

Names of the deceased will not be released until notifications to family members are complete.

Members of the Homicide Unit are currently conducting interviews and gathering evidence with respect to the incident.
