District 4 RCMP have laid a charge in connection with the death of a Shediac man.
51-year-old Romeo Joseph Cormier, of Shediac, was arrested February 9, 2011. He appeared in Moncton Provincial Court this morning and has been charged with criminal negligence causing death.
The victim has been identified as 48-year-old Marcel Brun. He was found in a snowbank outside his residence on Gallagher Street early yesterday morning. Brun was transported to hospital by ambulance, but did not survive.
Romeo Cormier has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Shediac Provincial Court on February 16, 2011, for a bail hearing.
