Police stand-off ends peacefully in Mulgrave, Nova Scotia

Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Port Hawkesbury Detachment are confirming the stand-off in Mulgrave has ended.

With the assistance of the RCMP Crisis Negotiation Team and the Emergency Response Team the situation ended peacefully with the man surrendering to police without incident at 9 p.m. tonight.

The security perimeter has been lifted and highway 334 (Main Street) from Church Street to MacLeod Street and Wylde and Strafford Streets are now re-opened to traffic.

The investigation is continuing.
