On Friday, February 11, 2011, police responded to a call for a theft in the Ellesmere
Road/Victoria Park Avenue area.

Background:

It was reported that:

− on Friday, February 11, 2011, at 8:40 p.m., a 84−year−old man was walking his dog when his dog ran towards a group of people,

− a man picked up the dog after a brief conversation with its owner and left the scene with the dog, boarding a TTC bus heading southbound on Victoria Park Avenue.

The dog’s name is Goldie. The dog is described as a Bichon/ Shih Tzu mix, eight years old, 20 lbs., with long, fuzzy, white hair. The dog was last seen wearing a green collar and a blue leash.

The suspect is described as white, 30−40, slim build with a sunken right eye. He was last seen wearing a black spring jacket, black pants and a black hat.

On Saturday, February 12, 2011, Sean Dunkley, 35, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Theft Under,
2) Possession of Property obtained by crime.
