Vancouver Police were called to the 1000 block of Hornby Street at 8:30 p.m. on February 17th after multiple reports of shots fired were called into 9-1-1.

A wounded man wandered into a nearby Subway restaurant and collapsed. He was transported to hospital where he died.

Milad Nournia, a 26 year old Vancouver resident, is the first homicide of 2011, in what is believed to be a targeted shooting. He is known to police and investigators are continuing to look into any gang links.

A loaded handgun was found in his possession and seized.
