Police bust nets 10,000 marijuana joints in Val-D’Amour, N.B

On Friday, February 18th, 2011, members of RCMP District 9, along with the RCMP Police Dog Section executed a search warrant at a residence in Val-D’Amour, N.B.
 
The search resulted in the seizure of a quantity of marijuana in excess of three kilograms. The marijuana could have produced about 10,000 joints.  A 48-year-old man was arrested at the residence and held in custody.
Louis Levesque, of Val-D’Amour, appeared in Campbellton Provincial Court this morning and was charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and breach of an undertaking.
The investigation is ongoing.
