Investigators from the Special Victims Unit are appealing for witnesses, and anyone with information, after a 52 year-old male school teacher was arrested and charged by police.

The victim, a 16 year-old youth, attended the same school that the suspect taught at. In February 2011, investigators with the Special Victims Unit learned of the allegations and commenced an investigation.

On Thursday, February 24, 2011, James BISS, a 52 year-old Mississauga man, was arrested and charged with one count of Sexual Exploitation and one count of Sexual Assault. Mr. BISS will be appearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on March 28, 2011.

Details of the allegations, and the victim, will not be released to the general public to protect both the identity of the victim and the integrity of the investigation and follow-up court process.

Investigators are concerned that there may be other victims and are urging any such individuals to come forward and speak to police.

  1. Does anyone know the outcome of the trial? I’d like to know what happened (not the details of the crime, but the results of the prosecution). Please comment_content_author_email me…
