The Caraquet RCMP is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 81-year-old man.

Arger Albert was last seen on December 4, 2016, at around 1 p.m. He had left his residence on chemin du Portage in Caraquet to go to the Caraquet wharf, but did not return home when expected.

Family members located the man’s car parked at the wharf, but efforts to locate Mr. Albert have been unsuccessful.

The RCMP in New Brunswick’s helicopter and the Underwater Recovery Team is assisting in the search, as well as the Caraquet Fire Department and the Acadie-Chaleur Ground Search and Rescue team.

Arger Albert is described as Caucasian, measuring about 6-feet tall. He has grey hair and was last seen wearing a black and white plaid jacket, and may have been wearing sunglasses.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts or who may have seen Mr. Albert since December 4 is asked to contact the Caraquet RCMP at 506-726-5222.
