Just before 3 a.m. on Friday, April 6, 2010 North Division officers were called to the scene along Anthony Henday Drive east bound, where a vehicle had crashed into a pole 500 metres west of Manning Drive.

The single occupant of the vehicle, a male believed to be in his 30s, died on scene.

All east bound lanes of Anthony Henday Drive at 66 Street will be closed for an estimated six hours (3 a.m. – 9 a.m.) due to an EPS traffic fatality investigation.

Alternative routes would be south on 97 Street to 167 Avenue, then east bound to Manning Drive.

Any vehicles approaching the area east bound on Anthony Henday will be directed to use the overpass at 66 Street to proceed back westbound.
