Robert Hayes considered dangerous goes missing in Peel

Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 58 year-old Mississauga man.

Robert HAYES was last seen in the secure area of the Trillium Health Centre, located in Mississauga. Mr. HAYES had been admitted into the Trillium Health Centre as a result of some noted troubling behavior on his part. On Friday, April 23, 2010, officers attended his residence and found Mr. HAYES in an agitated and assaultive state. He was eventually subdued without injury and taken to a local hospital, for an assessment.

On Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at 2:30 p.m., Robert HAYES was able to by-pass hospital security and leave the secure area of the hospital. Once outside the secure area, Mr. HAYES left the hospital.

Based upon the prior violent and assaultive behavior of Robert HAYES, police are concerned for the safety and well-being of both Mr. HAYES and the public.

Robert HAYES is described as a white male, 5’8” tall, weighing 170 lbs., with blue eyes and collar length black and grey hair. He may have a pair of glasses with him. When last seen, Mr. HAYES was wearing a blue hospital gown. At the time of his disappearance, he had no identification or monetary means on his person.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Robert HAYES is asked to call Peel Regional Police communications at (905) 453-3311, or your local police service.

Members of the public are cautioned not to approach Mr. HAYES, as may be in an assaultive mood.
