Steven Paul Brunswick and Jennifer Greenwood charged for break and enter thefts in Vaughan

Investigators working out of the York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested a man wanted in connection with a June 2010 commercial break and enter and flight from police that occurred in the City of Vaughan.

York Regional Police investigators arrested the suspect without incident on Monday, July 12, 2010, at approximately 8:15 p.m., at a hotel on The Queensway, in the City of Etobicoke. The suspect was searched after his arrest and found to be in possession of a quantity of what is believed to be cocaine and heroin.

The suspect was previously wanted on Criminal Code arrest warrant for various charges including Break and Enter, Dangerous Operation and Evade Police.

On Friday, June 11, 2010, at approximately 1:30 a.m., while on patrol in the City of Vaughan, a plainclothes officer working out of the #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau observed suspicious activity at a commercial building located at 8241 Keele Street. After confirming that a business had been broken into, the officer called for back-up and continued to investigate a GMC Savana van that was leaving the area.

The van travelled to the area of Wilson Heights Boulevard and Sheppard Avenue in the City of Toronto where both occupants fled on foot. A female passenger in the van was immediately
apprehended. Jennifer GREENWOOD, 34, of Toronto, was charged with Break and Enter, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x 2 and Breach of Probation. The driver of the van fled from police, but following an extensive investigation, the male driver was arrested without incident on Monday.

• Steven Paul BRUNSWICK, 45, of Toronto

CHARGES INCLUDE:

• Possession of Heroin
• Possession of Cocaine
• Break and Enter
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x2
• Breach Probation

Mr. BRUNSWICK has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear sometime today before the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket.
