Investigators from the Special Victims Unit had been seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 15 year-old Brampton teen, who was in the company of a 21 year-old male from the United States.

The teen had last been seen at her residence by her family on Sunday, July 25, 2010. She was reported missing after her family discovered that she had made arrangements to meet the 21 year-old male suspect, Alexander TAKACS.

On Tuesday, August 3, 2010, the teen returned home of her own free will and was found to be in good health. She has since been cooperating with police.

The suspect, Alexander TAKACS, a resident of Connecticut, subsequently surrendered to police in Brampton. He has been charged with Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference and has been held in custody. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Wednesday, August 4, 2010.
