Central East Division patrol officers investigating a robbery incident at the Coffee Time on Ritson Road North in Oshawa arrested the suspect a few hours later.

On Sunday October 17, 2010 at approximately 6:30 a.m. a male customer approached the lone employee indicating he had a weapon and demanded money from the cash register. The employee fled the scene and dialed 911 to alert police. The suspect fled the scene on foot and was not immediately apprehended by responding officers. The employee was not physically injured and no weapon was seen.

Patrol officers from the Central East Division in Oshawa continued with the robbery investigation and determined the whereabouts of the lone male suspect. The accused was subsequently arrested in Oshawa just hours later.

Jason BRYANT, age 33 of Elgin Court in Oshawa is charged with: Breach Probation x2; Robbery and Theft Under $5,000 x2. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
