Neyamat Ali arrested for sexually assaulting a man in hospital, Ajax

Durham Regional Police have arrested a Scarborough man after a 22-year-old male patient reported he was sexually assaulted while recovering from surgery in hospital.

The incident allegedly took place on Thursday February 3, 2011, at the Rouge Valley Ajax Pickering Hospital on Harwood Avenue. The 22-year-old victim says he was inappropriately touched several times by a male as he recovered from surgery.

The accused was contracted by Rouge Valley as a support worker who works for a nursing agency. He was employed by the hospital to assist nursing staff with an elderly patient.

Investigators want to ensure there are no other victims as the accused works on a contractual basis for other hospitals and facilities.
