The Duke and Duchess of CambridgeThe pregnant Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton has been discharged from hospital after a three-day’s acute morning sickness treatment and told she was “feeling much better” as she left the King Edward VII Hospital in London with Prince William and was taken to Kensington Palace to rest.

Kate, who is less than 12 weeks pregnant, was receiving treatment for hyperemesis gravidarum – a rare condition which causes repeated vomiting during pregnancy and can cause dehydration. On Monday, as soon Duchess developed the condition while staying with her parents in Bucklebury, Berks, she was admitted to the central London private hospital.

Kensington palace is the official residence of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during their stay in London and the royal couple is expected to move to a larger apartment within the building next year – probably near their baby’s arrival time, expected to be around summertime.

The new royal will be third in line to the British throne after William and his father Charles. The baby will be the first great grandchild of a serving monarch, in direct succession, in around 120 years.
