Dale BolingerA Kent male nurse with a cannibalism fetish has been found guilty of setting a meeting with a 14-year-old girl after sexually grooming her and promising to behead and eat her.

The NHS nurse, Dale Bolinger, 58, bought an axe from a DIY store in Broadstairs, Kent, just the day before he planned to meet the girl, whom he groomed online.

The father of three had planned the meeting with the teen Mexican girl called “Eva” said to be living in Germany, through chatting on a website called the Dark Fetish Network (DFN) with the pseudonym ‘Meatmarketman’.

Prosecutor Martin Yale told Canterbury Crown Court that FBI in cooperation with Kent police had arrested Bolinger on 21 February 2013after discovering his online conversations on the DFN site indicative of his acts of beheading and eating women and girls.

Further FBI investigation led to trace his email address to DFN where he had also discussed eating children while their mothers watched and cooking and eating a pregnant woman and her foetus.

During the online conversations, who worked at the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital in Margate had told “Eva”: “The idea of us making love and then eating you is a VERY great turn on!

“I have been called a very generous lover and I would be very generous to you before I prepped you for the table.”

And then the night before their meeting, Bolinger had told the teenager: “Got the axe, you ready to get that train?”

But the trial jurors heard that “Eva” – the girl whose true identity has never been revealed, failed to arrive at Ashford International Station according to the plans.

In court, Bolinger insisted that he made an attempt through his graphic online chats to shock people and he had never intended to kill anyone.

Before the trial, Bolinger had also admitted other charges, including administering a poison or noxious substance after he put a cloth soaked in dry cleaning fluid over his friend Urlene King’s mouth in July 2010.

He also pleaded guilty to one count of making indecent pseudo photographs of children, and seven counts of publishing an obscene article.

The jurors took three hours of deliberation to convict Dale Bolinger of attempting to meet a girl under the age of 16 following sexual grooming.

Judge Adele Williams had postponed sentencing to September 19 after asking for a psychiatric and a pre-sentence report to be prepared to “assess the level of risk the defendant poses to the public”.
