Myleene Klass and Ed Miliband on 'The Agenda'Television personality and former pop star Myleene Klass has slammed Labour leader Ed Miliband’s mansion tax plan as she went all Jeremy Paxman on him during a live televised debate in ‘The Agenda’ on Monday night.

The 36-year-old Loose Women panelist has confronted the leader of opposition over his pledge to impose a new policy on mansion tax during ITV debate programme where both appeared as guests for the night.

Arguing over Labour’s proposed plans to impose a tax on people who own properties worth more than £2 million, MsKlass has said: “For me, it’s so disturbing – the name in its own right: ‘mansion tax’.

“Immediately you conjure up an image of these Barbie-esque houses, but in London, which is where 80 per cent of the people who will be paying this tax actually live, have you seen what that amount of money can get you? It’s like a garage.

“The people who are the super-super rich buying their houses for £140million, this is not necessarily going to affect them because they’ve got their tax rebates and amazing accountants. It’s going to be the little grannies who have lived in those houses for years and years.”

In response to the heated discussion with the celebrity, Mr Miliband has said: “I totally understand that people don’t like paying more in tax. The values of my government are going to be different to the values of this government.”

The Labour leader has also sought to defend the proposed policy as a principled way of raising extra funding for the NHS.

However, Ms Klass was not convinced as she continued the argument by asking Mr Miliband regarding the available options for gathering fund for NHS. She has said: “You may as well just tax me on this glass of water. You can’t just point at things and tax them.”

The surprising discussion was the highlight of yesterday night as the viewers took it to the Twitter and making comments over it.
