The Met Office has issued yellow ‘be aware’ warnings across parts of the U.K., with gales of up to 70 mph and snow are expected to create disruption in some areas on Wednesday.

Snow has already brought much disruption across the country since last four days while forcing schools to close and suspending the transport systems.

According to the recent forecasts, more snow is set to fall across northern parts of the Britain. Particularly in central and southern parts of Scotland and northern Ireland, an amber weather warning has been placed urging the public to “be prepared” for snow showers. While lower level yellow warnings are in place for snow, ice, gales and rain for the rest of the U.K.

The Met Office website states: “Nearly all parts of the UK are expected to see strong winds from Wednesday afternoon and through Thursday as an Atlantic low pressure system moves across the country.

“Gusts of 50-65 mph are possible fairly widely, with gusts of up to 75 mph possible around exposed southern and western coasts, as well as high ground. Although winds across England and Wales will slowly ease through the day on Thursday, the morning will see a spell of very strong winds across parts of Northern Ireland and western Scotland with isolated gusts of up to 80 mph possible in exposed areas.”

Police Scotland have advised against travelling unless it became completely necessary.

Chief Meteorologist at the Met Office, Frank Saunders  has said: “The volatile weather we’ve seen this week is set to continue in the next few days – with strong winds for many and heavy rain in places. This could lead to difficult driving conditions, transport disruption and potentially some localised flooding issues.”
