Labour Party’s leader Ed Miliband has unequivocally announced that the Labour party will not strike any “agreement” with the Scottish National Party following the May 7 General Election. At the same time, Miliband explained that he considered himself a unionist but David Cameron is stirring up English “hatred” of the Scots. Earlier during an interview on BBC Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine show, Miliband vowed not to form a formal coalition with the SNP.

Whereas on the other hand, Mr Cameron shared a “shocking” video of former SNP leader, Alex Salmond, alleging that he would be writing Labour’s budget if Mr Miliband came in power. The video is suspected to have been shot at an SNP meeting on April 13, where Mr Salmond revealed to have heard a Labour spokesman say that Scottish Labour leader Jim Murphy would not be writing the party’s budget. Attracting laughs, Mr Salmond alleged that “I knew that already, because I’m writing the Labour Party budget.”

In addition to that, Mr Salmond replied to a poster by Conservative’s that warns Mr Miliband would be in Salmond’s pocket if the two parties did a post-election deal, saying that “I’ll just check my top pocket.” Sharing the video, Mr Cameron mentioned on twitter that “this footage will shock you: Alex Salmond laughs and boasts he’ll write Labour’s budget. Vote Conservative to stop it.” Whereas, Mr Miliband mentioned in his response that “If you want to ask who is going to write Labour’s first Queen’s Speech, who is going to write Labour’s first Budget, it is the Labour Party, not the SNP.”
