Dorset Police has confirmed to have arrested two suspects related to a teenager’s dead body found at a flat that triggered a murder investigation. According to the police, the body of a 19-year-old man was found at Mallard Grange in Sea Road, in the Boscombe area of Bournemouth, at midday on Tuesday. It has been announced that police is treating the man’s death as suspicious and the investigation is headed by the force’s Major Crime Investigation Team.

The two people arrested today include a 25-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, who were taken in custody from Weymouth on suspicion of murder. Sources confirm that the two suspects are cooperating and helping the authorities with their enquiries. Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Stewart Balmer, stated that “we are still building a picture of exactly what happened earlier today,” adding that “if anyone saw or heard anything suspicious in the Sea Road area of Boscombe or has any other information that could be useful, I would urge them to please get in touch.” Balmer added that the man’s next of kin have been informed and are being kept updated by specially-trained officers.

Meanwhile, officers have cordon of the home where the body found and it is anticipated to remain cordoned until the crime scene investigators examine the scene and officers carry out house-to-house enquiries. Dorset Police has requested witnesses to come forward and contact the officers.
