Man jailed for eight years for GBH

Anthony Lloyd Sue-Patt Jones, aged 26 years, of Woodbury Down Estate, N4 was sentenced to eight years imprisonment at Snaresbrook Crown Court today (13 January). He was previously found guilty of GBH with intent on 22 October at the same venue.

Patrolling officers were first alerted to an incident outside of the nightspot Cargo in Rivington Street, EC2 in the early hours of Saturday 23 May 2009.

They immediately gave first aid to the victim, who was 26 years old at the time. He had been stabbed in the neck with glass and had suffered a deep cut to his throat.

He was taken to an east London hospital where he received treatment for the injuries.

Three men were arrested following the incident. Two were later released with no further action and the third, Anthony Lloyd Sue-Patt Jones, was charged with GBH with intent.
