The Metropolitan Police Service has today (04.02.10) been informed of the CPS’ decision to summons the following four people for conspiracy to cheat, contrary to section 1 (1) of the Criminal Law Act 1977, and conspiracy to obtain and accept corrupt payments, contrary to section 1 (1) of the Criminal Law Act 1977, in relation to the fourth Test at Lords in 2010:

– Mahzar Majeed, 35 (16.06.75) of Oaks Road, Croydon

– Salman Butt, 26 (07.10.84) from Pakistan.

– Mohammad Asif, 28 (20.12.82) from Pakistan.

– Mohammad Amir, 18 (13.04.92) from Pakistan

They are due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 17 March 2011.
