The Chief Minister of Uttarkhand Vijay Bahuguna stays despite the revolt initiated by the Union Minister Harish Rawat. The Congress party informed the media on Tuesday that there are no changes in the name for the Chief Ministership for Uttarkhand and that the oat taking ceremony will be conducted as scheduled.

The Congress has left the Union Minister sulking over his objections to give the chief ministership to Vijay as they announce to not change their plans.

Mr. Rawat responded by signing the resignation to the Union government on accounts of being overlooked regarding the concerns he raised over the chief ministership of Uttarkhand and said that he longer wishes to be the Minister of State of Agriculture and Parliamentary Affairs.

On the other hand, the candidate selected to be the chief minister of Uttarkhand, Vijay Bahuguna spoke to the media and informed that he has been selected by the president of Congress, Ms. Sonia Gandhi, and he alone will take oath as the CM Tuesday. Adding to his statement he also said that another bunch of six ministers will be included in the parliament in the next few days after comprehensive consultation with the higher officials of the Congress.

Harish Rawat has announced to not attend the oath taking ceremony of the new CM along with the MLAs who support him. Mr. Rawat is upset with his party for not considering him to be the CM of Uttarkhand for the second time now.
