A Delhi court this Tuesday sent the three accused in the Manipuri man’s murder case to jail for two days until the investigation is completed by the police and the other two accused in the murder are caught. A 29 year old man from Manipur was attacked yesterday and beaten to death in the capital city of New Delhi. Akha Salouni was returning from his friends place when he was attacked by 5men and beaten badly. When the police was informed about the quarrel at about 2:30 am in the morning, they reached the site and found Salouni badly beaten. He was taken to the trauma centre at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences or AIIMS, where the Manipuri man succumbed to his death.

The metropolitan magistrate Ashok Kumar sent the three accused of the murder to police custody for two days while allowing the Delhi Police to interrogate them. The accused include Shakti Basoya (21), his cousin Sanjay Basoya (24) and Rajiv (25) who will remain in jail for the next two days. “In view of the facts and circumstances, the application for grant of two days police remand is allowed. The accused be produced on July 24,” the court ordered.

The police arrested the accused after having the CCTV footage of the CCTV installed in South Delhi’s Kotla Mubarakpur area where the murderers first used a cloth to choke him and then pinned him down to the ground while showering blows and kicks on him. The other two accused have been named as Lokesh and Bhola.
