This Thursday, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and the Chinese President Xi Jinping did a joint press conference after a 90 minute meeting between the two leaders or the two giants of Asia. Both the countries signed twelve agreements together. The pacts between the countries included cooperation in railways, outer space and customs.

Addressing the joint conference in New Delhi, the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Various agreements are being exchanged between China and India in the presence of President Xi Jinping. I am glad that President Xi Jinping has come to India within months of our Government taking office”. He further added that “It is important to have mutual trust and peace at the border to realise the full potential of the relationship between India and China.  All issues including economic, political and security discussed over the last two days. We decided to step up engagement in diverse areas”.

Jinping on the other hand invited the Prime Minister early next year and said that 2015 will be observed as ‘Visit India’ year in China. “We had a fruitful talks on all issues of mutual concern. India has achieved enormous development and achievement and I am happy to see it and hope that under PM Modi India will achieve new heights.” He further added that, “China and India to act as twin engines to promote growth and prosperity in the region. We should move towards peaceful,cooperative and inclusive development,imp that we strengthen exchanges at all levels”.
