President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani discussed the current regional conditions of the country.

The leaders of the two countries met in Pakistan and discussed the regional conditions and bilateral issues. The meeting took place due to the two day official trilateral meeting of President Asif Ali Zardari, Hamid Karzai, and the Iranian President Mahmood Ahmadinejad to discuss and promote the regional cooperation in order to strengthen stability and peace circumstances in the region.

The meeting took place before the official conference before the Presidents of the three countries met. The meeting with the PM Gilani took place at the PM House in Islamabad where Karazi and Gilani spoke about the issues faced by both the countries and the need for peace and development in the region. They also discussed possibilities of enhancing friendship amongst the two countries.

The discussion also led to measures that will promote peace in Afghanistan and eventually the entire region.

Meeting also included other government officials such as Information Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Foreign Minister Hira Rabbani Khar, Chief of Army Staff, Interior Minister, Defence Minister, Advisor to PM, and the minister-in-waiting for Engineering.

After one-on-one talks with the PM, the meeting was turned into delegate-level meeting for discussions amongst all other officers present.
