Turkish PM Extends Flood Relief Support

The Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu this Thursday, called the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and conveyed his concern and grief over the loss of property and lives due to recent floods and rains.

A statement from the PM House said that the newly elected Prime Minister of Turkey Dr. Ahmet Davutoglu made a telephone call to the Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and conveyed his sympathies over the damages caused by heavy torrential rains and the subsequent floods in various parts of the country. Davutoglu also assured to extend flood relief support to Pakistan. The Prime Minister thanked Dr. Davutoglu for his concern and said Turkey was always among the first to express solidarity with Pakistan in the face of natural calamities. He also conveyed his warmest felicitations and best wishes to Dr. Davutoglu on his elevation as Turkey’s Prime Minister and expressed the confidence that under his visionary leadership Turkey would continue its march forward on the journey of peace and progress.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan recognises Turkey as a strong friend and expressed the hope that Pakistan-Turkey strategic partnership would continue to grow even stronger during the tenure of Dr. Davutoglu according to the Associated press of Pakistan.
