The government of Pakistan under Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has decided to resume negotiations with the protesting party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), according to the local media of Pakistan. The media quoted Chaudary Nisar, the Interior Minister of Pakistan.

While talking to the journalists at his chamber in the Parliament house, Nisar confirmed that despite hostile behavior of the PTI leaders and serious allegations against the government, the government has still decided to resume talks with the negotiating committee of PTI. The decision comes just days after Imran Khan, the chief of PTI announced the one-day closure of major cities of Pakistan which included Lahore, Faisalabad and Karachi. According to the Nation news portal, the decision was taken after a telephonic discussion held between the finance minister Ishaq Dar and the interior minister Chaudhry Nisar. It further said that the ending of the previous negotiation process was also discussed by the two Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders.

Nisar further announced that the government will resume talks with PTI after the Prime Ministers return from UK. ARY News said that Nawaz Sharif this Tuesday left for UK on two-day visit to attend the London Conference on Afghanistan. The conference is to end this Thursday. The news portal further informed that the Federal Interior Minister said those showing aggression while standing at Imran Khan’s container, later gave explanation during meetings in Punjab House.
