The Pakistan Cricket Board this Wednesday finalized its fifteen players for the Cricket World-Cup 2015. The squad also included new players like Haris Sohail and Yasir Shah. According to Moin Khan, the chief selector, all the players were fit and ready to play.

Wahab Riaz, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohd. Hafiz, Yasir Shah, Younis Khan, Junaid Khan, Mohd. Irfan, Ehsan Adil, Shoaib Maqsood, Haris Sohail, Ahmed Shehzad, Sarfraz Ahmed and Sarfraz Ahmed are the fifteen chosen players for the World-Cup 2015. Fawad Alam unfortunately did not make the national team whereas the coach said that he is a fighter player but couldn’t make the national team as he didn’t fit into the combination of players chosen. Khan further added that it’s not the last World-Cup and Fawad Alam will be one of those players who will fill the gap when the senior players of the team retire. According to local media, Khan said that it will be a special World-Cup for him.

“After 23 years Pakistan will play the World Cup in Australia after it won the tournament there in 1992,” Khan said. Misbah is set to be the captain and lead the team whereas Ahmed Shehzad gets the honor to be an opener for the team. Ehsan Adil is the only right-handed seamer who is part of the national squad. The tournament will start on the 15th of February with a grand match between India and Pakistan.

  1. I can understand that Misbah and younas deserve to play World cup but I do not agree with selectors and will conscomment_IDer Fawad’s exclusion as a big injustice to the nation he could have been their in place of Hafeez whose inclusion is totally out of merit keeping in mind he is not going to bowel and his record against bowlers over 140 kph. overall a good team but still do not have much expectations from the Green shirts only prayers….
